Temple built with Million Beer bottles

Beer bottles are not allowed in temple, Buddhism preaches that drinking alcohol is a sin,
A Buddhist temple in Thailand is made of million glass bottles, out of them some are beer bottles even. Temple's name is Wat Pa Maha Chedi Kaew popularly known as Wat Lan Kaud is located near Cambodian border 400 miles from Bangkok in Thailand. this temple is believed to be made of million bottles .

Initially people did not like the idea of using beer bottles , but as they are eco friendly, the authorities started using discarded bottles to decorate the shelters of monks and slowly they started using bottles to decorate the temple area also . this was appreciated and people started donating empty bottles whenever they visit the temple , here is a video showing the same.

this is thought provoking, see what was called sin has transformed into something else. world surrenders slowly..  it is we the people who brings the change.  this temple is recognized as one among the eco friendly Site seeing spots in South east Asia.

Recycling is a good thought, we need to think if we can also reuse beer bottles, perfume bottles, cosmetics etc to make our earth environment friendly. this has motivated me ..

Let me think how to recycle ? ? ?

tell your friend to recycle the beer bottles of yesterdays night party

very intresting know what the funny part is gautam buddha preached against idol worship and now there are buddhist temples..the religions we follow in the world today are so old that they have been re-interpreted and mis-interprtd time and time again with the passage of an abs.athiest..i do believe there is some supreme power something that we humans dont know much about..we all have our own ways of interprettn it....

BTW Belgium Trappist monks have been making beer for hundreds of years and they continue to do so even today, the sale of those beers allow them the financial aid to run the monasteries.
